This policy explains what information the Academy of Indian Music & Fine Arts (“the Academy”, “we”) collects through aimfa.org and how we use it. Our website address is https://aimfa.org.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can reply to you.
- Competition entry form: the contact person’s name, email, phone number and mailing address; the participant’s name and age group; the categories entered; and any notes you add. This is used to run the competition: scheduling, programs, communication about your entry and keeping records of payments.
- Children: participants aged 12 and under should be entered by a parent or guardian, who provides the information on the child’s behalf.
- Mailed entries and sponsorships: information you write on a printed entry or sponsorship form and mail to us with a check.
- Visit statistics: we use the WP Statistics plugin to count visits and see which pages are used. It may record technical details such as pages viewed, browser type and a shortened or hashed form of your IP address.
Payments
Online entry payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s page and is not stored on this website. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, the amount and a transaction reference. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the information you give them (stripe.com/privacy). Payments made by mailed check do not involve Stripe.
Who sees your information
Your information is used by Academy organizers to run the competition and answer your questions. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services needed to operate the site and the competition, such as our website host, our email provider and Stripe for payments, or if required by law.
Cookies and embedded content
This site uses only the cookies needed for it to work and for visit statistics. Pages that show a map (for example the venue page) or link to services such as Stripe or Facebook may load content from those companies, which can set their own cookies under their own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep entry and payment records for as long as needed to run the competition and for our records. Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are able to. Please use our contact page or call (443) 631-3845.
